FAQ about our Boudoir / Nude Shoots

Do you have a minimum age for boudoir or nude photos?

Yes,

You must be 18 or older and have a valid picture ID in order to be photographed in a boudoir or nude style session. Due to the intimacy of the boudoir style and the fact that anyone under the age of 18 should never be in front of the camera in this style, regardless of who the photographer is. We do not do boudoir or nude shoots on anyone under 18, even with parental consent. This is our opinion and policy and is not a requirement that all businesses will follow. However, we do offer glamour style sessions, where you will get all the glamour of a model being groomed by one of our experienced makeup and hair artists. Choose your favorite attire or costumes, invite some friends and lets make it a fun day.

Do you publish or allow others to see my photos?

Simply “no” We would love to show off our work and your lovely images but quite simply we don’t, unless you give us permission. Of all of our customers that we have only one has requested that we not show any of her images most of our clients are happy to allow us to do so or do so but not reveal their identity.  The choice is yours.

Can I bring another person to the shoot?

We are happy to accommodate a chaperone as long as they remain behind the scenes, occasionally they can get involved but for the most part are there to observe and encourage you on.

Do I need to sign a model release?

A Model Release Form establishes a contract between the photographer and a model, defines how and where photographs may be used and the basis of any remuneration. It protects both the photographer and the model in the event of any dispute – provided the parties have abided by the terms of the release. This is usually the case in where we have commissioned (hired)  the model for a particular task or allowing the photographer to publish your likeness. This can be tailored to any agreement. However you will be required to sign our release defining the arrangements and details of your photo session especially if there is nudity involved. You can see a sample of our basic model release and contract here

Do you provide hair and makeup?

Yes

My wife which also attends the shoot will provide basic Hair & Makeup as well as touchups throughout the shoot. She also assist in helping you attain the perfect pose.

How many photos do you take?

Varies!

A typical shoot would be up to 200 images, however sometimes things really go great and a lot of fun happens so these can be many more images. On the other hand we can spend a lot of time getting that very unique image this many result in fewer images. Bu we will always have plenty for you to pick from

What are First Edit Photos?

First Picks

When I edit or start the selection process I delete all images that are inappropriate, Bad focus, Blinky eyes, yawns or  stretches…anything that renders unusable they are discarded. From my first I will then rate the remainder 1-4 Stars 4 being the best in my opinion.

What is the difference between Nude and Boudoir

Capturing the human body in its purest form, nude photography showcases natural beauty without any distractions. It can be both artistic and sensual, depending on the photographer’s vision and the model’s comfort level. The main aim of nude photography is to celebrate the unique shapes and lines of the human physique. Boudoir photography, on the other hand, specializes in capturing intimate and alluring moments, often featuring individuals in lingerie or revealing attire.
